In the National League, Yeovil Town fell to Halifax Town 1-0 on Saturday, sending them back to the bottom of the table.
The hosts’ 23-year-old forward Zachary Dearnley scored the game’s lone goal with seven minutes left after a lackluster first half at the Shay Stadium.
The Glovers ended their four-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over 10-man Stockport County on April 23, thanks to goals from Luton Town loanee Josh Neufville and Tom Knowles.
Yeovil Town is currently 13th in the National League standings, one point ahead of Altrincham, who are 14th and have one game in hand, with 54 points after winning 14, drawing 12, and losing 15 of their 41 games this season.
Wealdstone, on the other hand, couldn’t get back to winning ways last time out, losing to Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 at home.
At the Grosvenor Vale Stadium, Junior Morias and Manny Onariase scored two goals for the visitors before English forward Josh Umerah scored a consolation goal in the 91st minute.
Before that, Wealdstone lost to Altrincham 4-2 on April 23 for the first time this season and missed out on a third consecutive victory.
Stuart Maynard’s team is 17th in the league standings, level on 46 points with Barney, who is 18th. They have only won two of their last nine games.
The Stones will try to end their losing streak on Monday, but they have only won three of their last 12 away games since the beginning of December, scoring nine points out of a possible 36.
Last time out, Morgan Williams started in place of Jordan Barnett against Halifax Town, and the young wingback should keep his place in the starting lineup.
He should play with Luke Wilkinson, Max Hunt, and Mark Little for the second game in a row, keeping Grant Smith, who is 28 years old, out of the goal.
We anticipate a front three of Neufville, Knowles, and Reuben Reid further up the field, while Lawson D’Ath, Dale Gorman, and Jordan Barnett should compete for midfield dominance.
In the meantime, Umerah, who scored against Dagenham & Redbridge, now has four goals in his last eight games, and we anticipate that the 24-year-old will once more lead the Wealdstone attack.
Since the 3-1 win at Barnet in February, former Southend United forward Nathan Ferguson, who is 26 years old, has failed to score, and Ashley Charles is vying for a starting position.
Wealdstone will be looking to make amends here after losing to Gateshead last time out in the National League.
Max Kretzschmar scored the only goal from Wealdstone (37′). Gateshead got goals from Danny Elliott (72′) and Adam Campbell (82′).
After beating Dagenham & Redbridge 0-2 in the National League, Yeovil Town wants to win again.
Jordan Maguire-Drew (31′) and Matt Worthington (80′) scored for Yeovil Town.
In five of Yeovil Town’s last six games, there were fewer than three goals scored per game. In terms of the goal split during this time, their opponents scored 5 goals in total, while Yeovil Town managed 5.
