On Wednesday, Zurich will host Arsenal in the UEFA Women’s Champions League at the Wefox Arena (December 21). The hosts are coming off a 5-0 loss at the hands of Juventus last week. Cristiana Girelli was the star of the show, scoring four goals to lead Turin to victory. Meanwhile, Arsenal fell to reigning champions Lyon 1-0 at home, owing to Frida Leonhardsen-own Maanum’s goal in first-half injury time.
The victory brought the French team level with the Gunners at the top of Group C, with ten points from five games. The Gunners, on the other hand, hold the top place thanks to a superior head-to-head record. Zurich, on the other hand, is at the bottom of the standings and has yet to register an account.

Zurich has already been eliminated from the competition and will finish last in their group. The Swiss club might, however, try to get their first points of the season against one of the continent’s biggest teams.
Arsenal just needs one point to qualify, but they are sure to go all out for win to seal first place in the group.
Because of the disparity in class between the two teams, the visitors are the clear favourites. Any outcome less than a convincing win for the Gunners will be regarded as a surprise.
