AFC is 2nd oldest continental football championship and Copa America is on the 1st position. The winner of AFC Asian Cup qualified for FIFA Confederations Cup.
It was first proposed after end of world war 2nd but not played until the 1950. AFC was 1st staged in Hong Kong with 7/12 founding members were taking part in this. This tournament held one time in every 4 years from 1956.
