Map updates were revealed in advance of Season 12, but now we have the confirmed news that Olympus will return with a few changes. The details in the EA blog about Season 12 reads that: “A new view from Olympus. There’s something distinct in this floating city…but what is it?”
As you can see from the video trailer for the launch and the brand-new game trailer Olympus was teleported and changed. The incident resulted in Olympus dropping towards the city it hovers over as well as “teleporting structures and objects throughout cities.”
The main reason for this new look is the new POI which was shown in the trailer. While there isn’t a name yet for the POI and it appears to be huge. It’s located near Bonsai Plaza, occupying a new spot on the world map.
We’ll have for a while till Season 12 kicks off to learn all that’s changed since Olympus unless Respawn releases a second blog post during the interim.
