Don’t Want Him To Open, Think No.4 Is His Best Spot: Ricky Ponting On India Star

Don’t Want Him To Open, Think No.4 Is His Best Spot: Ricky Ponting On India Star: Ricky Ponting, who served as captain of Australia in the past, believes that Suryakumar Yadav will need to open the batting for India. 4, especially since the Twenty20 International World Cup will take place later this year.

As a result of Suryakumar’s solid performance with the bat recently, the ICC has moved him up to the number two slot in the men’s T20I ratings. During the just finished tour of the West Indies, he participated in four Twenty20 Internationals and amassed 135 runs.

The legendary Australian batter believes it is unlikely that Suryakumar will lead off the batting order for India. There have been rumors to that effect. Since the Mumbai batsman can exert the most influence on the team by playing in the fourth position, this is the greatest spot for him to be in.

    Statements

“I would say that it absolutely has to be in the top four. I suggested that you keep him (Virat Kohli) in the number three spot, which is where he has traditionally been playing. It can go either one, two, or four for the Sun.

I believe that he is capable of opening, but I believe that he probably is, you know if you can maybe keep him away from the new ball, control him midway through the powerplay, or get him out of the powerplay altogether. Let it happen, and if that’s the end result, you already know what the possible outcomes are.

I believe the top four is, well, actually, I’ll take a chance and say that I don’t want that spot available. I believe that number four is his most impressive work.” Regarding the ICC review, Ponting stated,

Ponting lauded Suryakumar even further by stating that the fact that he never backs down from a challenge contributes to the fact that he is a match winner.

“He is a very, very dynamic athlete and I am confident someone who will discover himself not just in his squad but also in other teams,” said the coach.

I believe that you will be able to include him in your squad for the Twenty20 World Cup. And if he is on that team, I believe that every fan in Australia is going to get a chance to see a guy who is extremely talented. He has a good deal of self-assurance. He takes care of himself and will never participate in a contest or challenge of any kind.

I’m not going to avoid dealing with any of the potential problems that could arise. I believe that he believes he can prevail in that circumstance and that is why he is working so hard to win games for his team.
