With 409 players to go under the sledge, the Ladies’ Head Association (WPL) 2023 Closeout will happen on Monday, February 13, in Mumbai. The BCCI had previously disclosed that it had received 1525 registrations, of which 246 Indian players and 163 international players were selected. Twenty-four players, including ten Indian and fourteen international cricketers, have listed themselves at the highest base price of fifty lakh rupees.

Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma, Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Sophie Ecclestone, and Deandra Dottin are on the list with the highest base price. Additionally, the Indian U-19 T20 World Cup champions have registered for the auction. Additionally, the five franchises will receive a 12 crore rupee purse.

409 players will be sold at the Women’s Premier League (WPL)’s first live auction on Monday. The BCCI had received 1,525 registrations for the inaugural WPL season, and 409 players were chosen. For a maximum of 90 spots on each of the five teams, 246 Indian players and 163 international players will compete for a spot.

With a minimum requirement of 15 players, each of the five teams from Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi can bid for up to 18 players. One of the seven international players they have access to is from an Associate nation. Each team has been given a cash prize of INR 12 crore, or about $1.46 million.
