Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir came up with a piece of strong advice for players regarding their precedences in 2023, given it’s a World Cup time. Speaking on Star Sports ’ show Road to Glory, Gambhir said that if a big player misses the IPL and the ballot has to suffer, so be it, IPL can not take centre stage when an ICC event is listed, especially given the players’ fitness history in the last couple of times.
Gambhir further said that players in particular, who play all three formats can take a break from T20Is but they can not indeed suppose of missing ODIs and should conduct also they can take a break from T20Is, If people who are playing all three formats want to take a break. But surely not from the ODI format,he added.
