Team India lose their second test match against South Africa, KL Rahul told the biggest reason for the defeat in Johannesburg Test

Team India and South Africa are playing test series in which India won their first match and in second match South Africa beat India under the captaincy of KL Rahul.

The Indian team has to face defeat after 29 years at The Wonders Stadium in Johannesburg. On the other hand, under the captaincy of Dean Elgar, the hosts have made history and leveled the series 1-1.

This defeat of India in the absence of Virat Kohli is really disappointing. However, after losing this match, KL Rahul said something regarding this loss.

South African players did a great job against Team India

Nowadays the Indian team is in a bad position in terms of disputes, performances and etc. We have greater players but all of them are busy with their injuries.

Speaking on the match presentation after the crushing defeat in the Johannesburg Test, KL Rahul said,

“In every Test match that we play, our only goal is to win. We are the kind of team where we try to win every match. It was not so easy to score 122 runs on the fourth day and achieve this target. Because there was double bounce on the pitch but, as I said, the South African batsmen were really batting very well. India’s score in the first innings was 202 runs very low. There should have been at least 50-60 more runs in this score. Through which we could put pressure on them.”

Bowlers and Batsman play a major role in defeat of Team India

In fact, after the defeat in the Johannesburg Test match, both the teams have got the upper hand on the series.

At the same time, this is going to be a big challenge for Team India because India has not yet won the series on African soil.

Talking about the second Test match, apart from Ajinkya Rahane, Pujara, and Vihari, not a single batsman had played a particularly good inning in the second innings.

On the other hand, the main fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj also disappointed a lot in the fourth day’s play.

Both bowlers failed to take wickets. Due to Siraj’s injury, Team India clearly missed the fourth bowler. This also affected the match and India lost this match.

We have Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav as great bowlers of Team India but they are stick on the bench this season.
