On Wednesday, Tunisia and France will play their third and final group-stage match at the 2022 FIFA World Cup at the Education City Stadium. France, the current champions, is the first team to reach the knockout stage thanks to consecutive victories in their first two matches.
They beat Australia 4-1 in their first game of the season, and Kylian Mbappe scored twice in the second half to help them beat Denmark 2-1 on Saturday. After holding Denmark to a goalless draw in their season opener, Tunisia lost 1-0 to Australia on Saturday. They do not have a goal to their name.
There is a slim chance that Tunisia will advance to the knockout stages. Not only will they need to defeat France, but they will also need to win by at least two goals. This has all the earmarks of being a gigantic undertaking for a group that is yet to score an objective in the opposition.

In their first two matches in the competition, the Eagles of Carthage scored fewer goals than they attempted. They have scored in four of their five encounters with France, and they will be hoping to score more goals in this match than in their previous two.
Didier Deschamps, the France coach, has led his team to the round of 16 and will undoubtedly alter the starting lineup. Mbappe may be rested for the game, and the defense and midfield are also expected to be changed. Despite this, France has enough firepower to easily defeat their North African rivals.
Prediction: Tunisia 0-2 France
So far, the two teams have met five times, and all of those encounters were friendly. While the spoils have been shared between the two rivals, France has been the dominant team in these games and holds a 2-1 advantage in wins.
France has not lost to the African team since a 2-1 defeat in 1971, scoring seven goals while conceding three times. Tunisia has lost 15 of their last 16 World Cup games, whereas France has won six of their last six. In five of their last six World Cup games, France has scored at least two goals.
In two of their last four matches in the competition, Tunisia scored two goals, but they failed to score in the other two. While Tunisia has yet to score a goal in the World Cup, France and England have the joint second-best goal-scoring record (6).
