In December, the Australian Women’s team will travel to India for a five-match T20I series. Every one of the five matches of the T20I series will be held in Mumbai with the initial two matches to be played at the D.Y. Patil Arena and the resulting three at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) Arena.

Meg Lanning, Australia’s regular captain, is currently taking an indefinite break from cricket to focus on her mental health following their Commonwealth Games victory. It was also the last time the two teams met. in a thrilling final, India lost by just nine runs.

The upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa. Which takes place in less than three months, and may require both teams to win this series. The two teams are grouped in opposite ways. India will compete in Group B against England, Ireland, Pakistan, and the West Indies, while Australia will compete in Group A against Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.

India will be looking to carry the momentum it gained from winning. The Women’s Asia Cup to the main event in South Africa in February 2023. On the other hand, Australia is the current champion. Will be vying for the coveted trophy for the sixth time in the competition’s history.
