The decision to postpone the event took place taking into consideration the geopolitical situation and the work of homologation in Europe.
The term homologation work indicates the process and the certification of the race track. A vehicle or a part of it is compliant according to the standard rules and regulations and also to see if it is set for a professional race.

“All parties have therefore agreed that the track’s debut must be postponed to 2023. When MotoGP looks forward to returning to Finland for the first time in four decades.”
