The 2023 Bangladesh Premier League, also known as BPL 9 or Ispahani BPL 2023 Powered by Minister Group (for sponsorship reasons), is Bangladesh’s highest-level professional Twenty20 cricket league, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Following the inclusion of January and February for this league in its Future Tours Programme by the International Cricket Council.
The BCB announced the BPL schedule for the next three seasons in July 2022. Therefore, it was planned that the ninth season would air in 2023, from January 5 to February 16. In addition, BCB decided to sell the rights to the franchise for three years, starting with this season, bringing the total number of teams to seven.
In September 2022, the BCB published a list of franchise owners, with Rangpur Riders returning after two seasons and five of the previous six franchises still in control. On December 24, 2022, the schedule for this season was made public by the BCB. There will be two games per day in the group stage, with reserve days for all knockout games.
